Catty Shack ‘Hunter’ Bushcraft / Skinning knife

(2 customer reviews)

£32.95

As with the orange Hunter knife, this knife features a locking blade for safety (liner lock) and also made from a very high grade D2 stainless steel, meaning it will hold a sharper edge for far longer than any cheap blade. D2 is a harder material, therefore it will be harder to sharpen than cheaper knives, but this comes with the territory of a quality blade. The blade is on a superior ballbearing movement system, as opposed to the cheaper movement of washers. For sharpening, we recommend the use of our wet stone.

The handle is again built on quality, featuring black G10…making it warm in the hand. Also a very strong pocket clip! This knife can be opened one handed, by pushing downwards on the blade toggle when in the closed position. See pictures. These knives come razor sharp straight from the box.

This is a high quality, weighty field knife, ideal for skinning, gutting, in field butchering, whittling, trap making, and bushcrafting etc.

Overall Length – 225mm
Blade Length – 90mm
Closed Length – 127mm
Blade Thickness – 4mm
Locking system – Liner lock
Blade Finish – Brushed stainless
Hardness – 59-61 HRC
Net Weight – 205g
Blade Material – D2 (9Cr13 Stainless steel)
Handle Material – G10

  1. Christopher Parkinson

Absolute cracker this knife and for the price its a giveaway.
This knife is basically the Spyderco Subvert that lists at over £300, manufactured by the same company Taichung, only difference is Spyderco opted for SV30 steel over D2 which is marginally harder which also means harder to sharpen. I personally prepare D2 steel.
As soon as you hold this knife in your hand, you will realise this is a knife for life, extremely happy with my purchase.
