Description
This pocketable band jig is actually quite good once you get used to the fiddliness of it. I have made bands up to 0.75 OTT on it, and I don’t think I’d go much higher…maybe 0.8 but no more.
Firstly, unless you’re going to make bands on a mirror, I’d say throw away the suction cup and just make the bands on your lap / in your hands. The folding arm that opens out can be quite stiff to lock in intially, but once it’s been locked in place, it’s easy to slide back and close / re-open and lock in place. Opens and closes with an underlever action locking jaw.
This wouldn’t be my choice for a main go to band making tool, but a great little thing to have as a back up, or to put in a convenient carry all, for bands on the go.
Closed dimensions; 6cm x 6cm x 1.5cm
Open dimensions 6cm x 6cm x 6cm
